Small-minded people suck

I'm considering taking my pics off of DA. I was so excited to sign on here to begin with, but now I hear that they have a 'you can trace someone's artwork to learn, and then not say that you traced someone's work' policy.

I've done that exact thing many times, (tracing another artist's work to learn) and it is a viable learning process which teaches your hand to draw a certain shape, curve or proportion.

But to allow people to not only trace (which I agree is just copying) but to also say nothing of the wonderful artist that they admire enough to imitate... that just scares me. And I'm paranoid enough about my stuff that I may just take the work off the DA account.

*sighs* hooplah. I'll figure it out....
